This web page was produced as an assignment for Genetics 564, an undergraduate course at UW-Madison.
Hello! My name is Nikita Tongas, and I am a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I will be graduating in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and certificates in Environmental Studies and Stem Cell Sciences. I created this webpage as a semester-long project for my Genetics 564 class, an undergraduate course on genomic and proteomic analysis. I plan on working in outdoor education for the next couple of years and then applying to dental school after that. Some of my favorite ways to spend my free time outside of class include: listening to music, hiking, camping, and playing / watching sports (Go Bucks!).
I would like to thank Dr. Ahna Skop for helping me through this research process, as well Sarah Neuman and Benjamin Minkoff for their excellent guidance as graduate student mentors. I am certain that both of them will become exceptional professors with successful research labs. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions! |
